El volumen se presenta con una interesante aproximación al arquitecto, firmada por la crítica alemana Antje Stahl. En ella, Stahl pone de manifiesto las particularidades de una oficina que se define como práctica colaborativa, tanto por el carácter compartido de los proyectos con otras oficinas, como por la condición transdisciplinar del trabajo, que desborda el contexto arquitectónico. En particular, destaca una comprensión de la arquitectura que no solo se concibe desde la práctica del diseño, sino que incorpora la reflexión política, la legislación, la ideología y, en definitiva, la propia epistemología del hecho de construir como argumentos de proyecto. Por ello no es casual que los trabajos de investigación en los modelos de producción espacial, el régimen de propiedad o la legislación en arquitectura hayan sido para la oficina motivo de exposiciones, publicaciones o incluso producciones audiovisuales.
Con este bagaje, la publicación presenta 14 proyectos arquitectónicos agrupados en torno a diferentes estrategias de trabajo. Concreatamente, se trata de los procesos de contextualización (cuando la comprensión del contexto genera nuevas simbiosis), de orientación (cuando la torsión de las tipologías produce espacios heterogéneos), de apertura (cuando se reconsideran las estructuras existentes), de aterrazado (cuando se cataliza la interacción con el contexto mediante la forma), de externalización (cuando se condiciona al mínimo el espacio interior flexible), y de habilitación (cuando la memoria de lo existente se incorpora a nuevos significados).
La mirada a los diferentes proyectos es un viaje sugerente y lleno de sorpresas. Aunque trabajando en escalas muy diferentes (desde la pequeña casa de huéspedes Rachel en Krampnitz hasta el imponente complejo de oficinas Hammerschmidt en Aschheim) el trabajo de Brandlhuber+ (que en el futuro cambia su denominación a b+) no deja de producir relatos construidos que anclan la arquitectura en el contexto en el que se insertan -muchas veces arquitecturas existentes que no solo son recuperadas, sino cuyo lenguaje articula una nueva ocupación que rescata la memoria construida.
Merece la pena observar la obra de un modelo de trabajo que altera muchas de las premisas de la práctica arquitectónica convencional.

The volume is presented with an interesting approach to the architect, signed by the German critic Antje Stahl. In it, Stahl highlights the particularities of an office that is defined as a collaborative practice, both because of the shared nature of the projects with other offices, and because of the transdisciplinary condition of the work, which goes beyond the architectural context. In particular, she highlights an understanding of architecture that is not only conceived from the practice of design, but also incorporates political reflection, legislation, ideology and, ultimately, the very epistemology of building as project arguments. For this reason, it is no coincidence that the research work on spatial production models, property or the architectural legislation has been the reason for exhibitions, publications or even audiovisual productions for the office.
